The city of Dead, also known as the Village of Dargavs, is home to a cemetery that entails about 100 stone crypts. The interesting part about the cemetery is that it provides a glimpse into the life of many people many buried with their earthly belonging 400 years ago.

Winter Palace – St Petersburg, Russia

It was once popular hangout spot for the aristocracy of St. Petersburg. It was officially started in 1874 under the leadership of Alexander II. He, then requested to plant more than 50 species of plants in the premises. The garden was overhauled in 1920s. It’s a peaceful place for visitors to spend quality time with their loved ones.

 

Samara Embankment

If you wish to enjoy a sunny day in Russia, Samara Embankment is the destination to look out for. It is situated alongside the Volga River. You can relax at the beach, or even workout or take a walk. You can also take a boat cruise. Drinks and snacks are available at the beach which can be relished while relaxing.

 

Kizhi island

If you wish to indulge into some fine Russian wooden architecture then Kizhi Island is the place to look out for. It’s on Lake Onega. It has beautiful multi-domed wooden churches spread across the island. Some of these structures such as the Church of the Transfiguration, are still used today for religious ceremonies and sacred gatherings. During the summers, this island is quite welcoming as the temperature rises. During the winter months it’s mostly covered in ice.
Interesting Fact – Kizhi Island became an UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1990s.
