I was fortunate to have experienced the beauty of this amazing property with my family, a couple of months back in May 2019, and despite being in operation just for the past 4-5 months, the very fact that the hotel was running full occupancy of 40+ double occupancy rooms, speaks about the mark Amber Dale Luxury Hotel & Spa, Munnar has already created, among the already existing similar properties in Munnar, that too just in a few months.
Every room at Amber Dale Resort and Spa in Munnar, opens to the panoramic views of the Munnar Tea Gardens, and waking up to those first rays of sun, or to see the clouds floating around at your window, is a feeling that everyone should experience first-hand.

Overlooking the massive Lake Vembanad, the infinity pool provides for some amazing postcard perfect shots, specially during the sunrise. In our two days of stay at LemonTree Vembanad Lake resort, I found myself in the pool most of the times, either sweating it out, or just looking at the horizon, and enjoying the beauty of Kerala. The poolside area with all the lounge chairs also turned out to be my workstation at some hours of the day #DigitalNomadLifestyle.
During our trip, our 2 days stay at Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort, turned out to be quite a relaxing staycation. Upon check in at the hotel, the staff, had prepared for us an authentic lunch of the local cuisine at Citrus Café– the onsite multi cuisine restaurant, which was quite the welcome, which we weren’t expecting. However, the highlight was the full day cruise of the backwaters in the houseboat on our 2ndday, where we were able to experience the beauty of nature in God’s Own Country, while enjoying a traditional meal on board, comprising of more than 15 dishes, served on a banana leaf, which was definitely the most Authentic Gastronomic Experience throughout the trip.
Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort also has an in-house Ayurvedic Spa, offering traditional Ayurvedic treatments and massage packages, which ensures that you experience all shades of Kerala during your stay at the resort.
If you’ve more time on your hand, the staff will help you out in planning a couple of different activities nearby, including a shikara tour of the backwaters, or a visit to the Alleppey Beach, or a visit to the Krishnapuram Palace, or a visit to the nearby temples, and more.

Good to see this. The majority of the Kerala hotels are positioned within easy accessibility of city’s prime commercial buildings and tourist attractions.
Somehow between Munnar and Thekkady, I am a huge fan of the latter. Naturally that is the I resort that appealed to me to most. It offers the natural feel of the place and yet gives you the required luxury.
No matter how many times you go, Kerala is one place which you wouldn’t get tired of! Its just so so gorgeous, isn’t it?
We visited Munnar a couple years back for our wedding anniversary and its such a beautiful place!
I’m yet to head to Thekkady. Greenwoods resort looks absolutely pampering. That hammock is enough and I’m already sold! Lolz.
I always have great expectations out of Lemon Tree hotels. They are just so good! Good to see that the quality is as excellent as the rest of the places, here too!
The views from the Amber Dale Resort and Spa are incredible, that would sell it for me. I love the sustainability aspect of Greenwoods Resort Thekkady, I wish more hotels would do more of this. The infinity pool with views of the lake at LemonTree Vembanad Lake Resort would make this a perfect choice. Fabulous selection of luxury stays in Kerala.
All those choice! Oh my goodness, how do you even choose? I’d be happy to stay at any one of those! I love the gym access! And an inifinity pool is always a YES in my book! Also those sprawling views are just incredible! I’d love to spend some relaxing time off at any one of these locations!
I’ll be honest! I am envious while reading this post. I just hope that I have 7 days to relax and rejuvenate. Such a wonderful view and your accommodations look really cozy and comfortable. Thank you so much for sharing this experience.
Kerala has wonderful staycation options with all nature and luxury amenities. I love Munnar and therefore Amberdale looks very tempting to me. The view of misty hills from the balcony of the resort is stunning. As it is close to tea estate and waterfall it would be a great naturescape for me. It is good that Greenwoods resort follows the eco-friendly concept in their resort.
It looks like there’s plenty of luxury places for a staycation in Kerala. I would not know which one to pick, they all look so good.
Those panoramic views of the tea gardens and valley are stunning! It’s really nice that the resort is making an effort to be sustainable! It looks like they have a very nice infinity pool. Overall, your stay seems like it was extremely relaxing! It is nice to know it is near a tiger reserve that would be a great experience!
I would happily stay at any of these places! I love the 24 hour gym at Amber Dale, and of course the infinity pool at Lemon Tree. Fantastic finds!
